Shoe giant enters aviation industry

Ecco, a Danish shoe giant, formally entered the shipping industry by establishing joint ventures with several companies to purchase oil tankers.

According to a statement issued by the Ecco group, the group has formed a joint venture shipping enterprise, e4c shipping, which includes the elements of the names of the three companies, in conjunction with dee4 capital partners, a Danish investment company, and gunvor group, a Russian energy trading giant.

The registration date of e4c shipping is July 20, 2020 and its registered place is Singapore

At present, the new company has ordered 2 + 2 Mr product tankers in Korean shipyards, which are expected to be delivered in 2021.

E4c shipping said the new vessels would become "one of the most fuel efficient product tankers in the world" and would significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

It is understood that the chairman of Ecco group is Hanni toosbuy Kasprzak, a Danish billionaire. In 2019, her wealth is DKR 21 billion, or about US $3.26 billion.

Dee4 capital partners, an investment company with Ecco group, is a Danish private equity firm focusing on maritime related investment. Gunvor group, on the other hand, is one of the largest commodity traders in the world and a Russian energy trading giant.
