Sea-Intelligence, the novel coronavirus pneumonia, said that the liner company is gradually resuming its voyage from Asia to Europe and beyond the Pacific Ocean because of the optimistic expectation of market demand and the weakening of the new crown pneumonia epidemic.

On the Asia North America West Coast route, 30 of the voyages announced by liner companies to be cancelled in the Q3 have been restored, 22 of which are operated by the alliance, the agency said.

A similar situation has occurred on the Asia Nordic route.

Overall, in the Asia Europe and trans Pacific markets in the third quarter, 49 flights announced to be cancelled had been restarted, and THE alliance contributed 36.

"This shows that THE alliance has previously been too pessimistic to cut capacity," said Alan Murphy, chief executive of sea intelligence

Alan Murphy further analyzed that since the 29th week (July 13), there are almost no blank flights. This shows that the novel coronavirus pneumonia challenge is not as obvious as before.

"This could be due to a recent pick-up in demand or optimistic expectations of demand growth in the coming weeks."
